The days are getting warmer and the sun is staying out longer, meaning that festival season has arrived! At Shambhala, we not only love participating in festivals, but we also like to enjoy them too. If you are in Spain this summer, here are 10 Yoga festivals you surely don’t want to miss!
1. AcroYoga Sur Festival: 28, 29 and 30 of April
If you are in Andalucia and want to not only enjoy yoga, but also want to play and have fun with AcroYoga, than this festival is perfect for you. It’s a gathering of some of the best AcroYoga teachers in Spain with a variety of different workshops! Great vibes, great weather and tons of fun!
2. Ibiza Spirit Festival: April 29, 2018
A non-profit organization where all the proceeds are donated to APNEEF (Asociacion de Personas con Necesidades Especiales de Eivissa y Formentera). The festival is filled with Dance, Yoga, Meditation, Therapists and even Oracle Readers. A festival not only for yoga but for all aspects of spirit. <3
3. Gran Canarias Yoga Conference: 25, 26 y 27 of May
A three day yoga conference open to all yoga practitioners seeking to deepen their practice. The congress is open to all levels of practitioners from beginners, to neophytes in yoga, to teachers and to anyone that is interested in this ancient discipline. Complete with yoga classes, meditation and live music as well!
4. Agni Spirit Festival: 7 – 10 of June
A young festival just in its third edition, but filled with soul and magic. Not one of your typical yoga festivals. Full of various yoga classes but also mixed with shamanic ceremonies, healing therapies, music and dance. If you’re looking to connect with your inner power, than this is your festival.
5. Barcelona Yoga Day: 17 of June
A 100% free one-day festival that celebrates yoga, in the heart of Barcelona City in Parc de l’Estacio del Nord. Free yoga classes, free guided meditations, delicious vegan food, an artisanal market and more. It’s a great way to connect to your local yoga community in the sunny city of Barcelona. A heart-felt gathering that’s meant for everyone.
6. Own Spirit Festival: 22-27 of June
One of our favorite music festivals here at Shambhala. From great music, to yoga and acroyoga workshops, to healing therapies, this psychedelic and healing festival has it all. It’s a place to let your spirit run wild and free, while connecting to all the beautiful nature around. If you want to attend a festival where you can let loose and still connect with your innerself, this is the place you want to be.
7. Big Yoga Festival: 23 and 24 of June
This festival is for everyone, beginner yogis, advanced practitioners, families, food addicts and more. Not just a yoga festival, but a conscious festival that has different kinds of yoga classes, breathing workshops, biodanza and even showcooking. If you are in Valencia and want to open yourself to a conscious lifestyle, Big Yoga is the place to be.
8. Barcelona Yoga Conference: 19 – 23 of July
We’ve participated in this wonderful festival every year since the beginning of Shambhala. It is one of our favorite yoga conferences, full of great international yoga teachers, different yoga classes and live kirtan music! Not only do we believe it’s one of the best yoga festivals in Spain, but even in all of Europe!
9. Harakati Movement Festival: – 31 of August – 2 of September
The Harakati festival (“Hara” means movement, “Kati” means pure) is a festival to spend your weekend doing healthy activities to open your body, mind and spirit. Open to people of all ages, children and adults alike. The festival invites it’s participants to open up to new expressions of movement and therapies, to express your emotions in a healthy and natural way. Set in the beautiful Canary Islands, you will surely enjoy every moment.
10. Festival AcroYoga Barcelona: 13 – 17 of September
The first AcroYoga festival of Barcelona. Barcelona is already quite known for its large and fabulous Acro community, with its infamous Acro jams every sunny day of the year at the city’s Parc Ciutadella. People from all over Europe already love to come to the park for the amazing jam sessions, so why not join them in their first AcroYoga Festival. For sure it will be a fun and amazing festival.
