This past July, I had the pleasure to teach 3 classes at the Boom Festival in Portugal. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget. I taught two acroyoga workshops and one rocket yoga class. It was an amazing experience, to share what I love to hundreds of people, vibrating on the same wavelength.
The first acroyoga workshop taught had a rough estimate at about 100 people. Me and my team of acroyogi friends shared such an amazing energy in teaching Intermediate AcroYoga. At the end of the workshop, we all formed a big circle, massaged our neighbors and connected together as one.
The second acroyoga workshop of AcroYoga and Thai Massage was much bigger, with almost 500 festival goers in attendance. My heart raced as I saw the big crowd of people who anticipated the workshop. Overcoming my nerves, me and my team were able to create a fun and safe environment for the workshop. We ended with each of us holding hands, spiraling into a huge circle and finally ending with one big 500 person hug. The energy I felt being in the eye of the hug, was a feeling that I could never forget. There was an immense amount of beautiful and loving energy. One of the great things about AcroYoga is the atmosphere of play that it gives. As we grow older, we get caught up and consumed with our busy lives that we forget how to play. Re-introducing this concept of playful connection to adults is something very rewarding and I’m happy that I could spread this joy to hundreds of people at Boom. Finally, the last day of the festival, I had the pleasure to share my love for the dynamic practice of Rocket Yoga.
The festival had tons of different workshops and classes at the Being Fields. Mostly workshops on meditation, movement, healing ceremonies, dances and basically just an array of amazing experiences to choose from. I am grateful for being given the opportunity to share and experience the festival as a facilitator and as a participant.
On a final note, another exciting moment at Boom was to have Shambhala Barcelona present as a vendor. We shared our space with our good friends of Inphinity Design. As the co-founder and ambassador of Shambhala, I couldn’t be any more excited to have the presence of Shambhala there. To see how far we have come since 2015 and to see how much the brand has grown, warms my heart. Knowing that Shambhala has grown into it’s own being and seeing it share it’s own beautiful light and energy at the festival, is really a spectacular sight to see. I can only hope that we can continue to shine our light, not only during festivals, but for many many more years to come. We send to you, all of our love and light, and hopefully one day you can join us at the next beautiful festival! <3
